We Help Rural Businesses Find Their Next Idea.

Why We Created Slow Lane Spain

We believe some of the best ideas are discovered away from your own business.

Sometimes it takes seeing how other people have turned an isolated location into their greatest competitive advantage.

Or how farmers have transformed challenging landscapes into some of the world’s most highly valued food products.

How family businesses have diversified, added value and built successful brands by making the most of what they have.

How innovation, tradition and a strong sense of place can create products and experiences that people remember.

These are the kinds of businesses we love introducing people to.

We design business study tours for farmers, food producers and rural business owners looking for fresh ideas and practical inspiration.

Every journey is built around your interests. It combines new ideas with remarkable landscapes and inspiring businesses.

Whether you’re exploring farm diversification, premium food production, agritourism or new ways to add value, our aim is simple:

To help you return home with ideas you can adapt to your own business.

Meet Heather

Heather

Heather is a partner in a rural tourism business on an organic farm in Mid Wales and now lives in Portugal, dividing her time between Portugal and Spain, with regular visits back to the farm in Wales. Having spent many years involved in farming and rural enterprise, she understands the opportunities and challenges facing family businesses.

Her passion is discovering businesses that have found imaginative ways to diversify, add value and create memorable experiences—then introducing those ideas to others through carefully designed study tours.

Manuel

Manuel was born and raised in Seville and has deep roots in rural Andalucía. Having spent his childhood in the mountains near the Portuguese border, and many years running a successful business in Seville, he knows the region, its people and its businesses exceptionally well.

Together, we use our local knowledge and trusted relationships to introduce visitors to people and places they would be unlikely to discover on their own.

Why Trust Slow Lane Spain With Your Business Study Tour?

We understand that planning a business study tour is about much more than finding interesting places to visit.

It’s about finding businesses that can genuinely inspire. Experiences that challenge your thinking and help you see new possibilities for your own business.

Fortunately, it also helps that many of those businesses are surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, historic towns and some of the finest food and wine you’ll find anywhere in Europe.

That’s where our experience, local knowledge and network make the difference
